ArteryLite Product

ArteryLite is the first product that solves the problem of fully automated optimization calculation and update of the time plans for traffic signal management. ArteryLite combines multi-parameter optimization using genetic algorithm with simulation macro-modeling. ArteryLite allows you to use both the results of transport surveys and detector information as the input data. Its unique feature is the possibility of optimizing modification of already applied, empirically processed time plans considering changing traffic demands.

Functionality

ArteryLite opens the way to greatly improve the signal timing even when using old fashion traffic controllers capable to load not more than 8 programs in the internal memory.

Calculation of Necessary-to- serve Time IntervalsEnables automated determination of traffic demands changes by associating the data arrays with intersection approaches.
AlgorithmsCalculation of the timing plans is produced with the use of three different algorithms, including genetic algorithm. Optimal reduction of the number of timing plans in accordance with controller’s capacity.
Transfer of Data to ControllerAutomated generation of XML format files for download in traffic lights controllers.
ModelingGeneration of models of the intersection or transportation network within the Transyt-7F program, assigning detectors or traffic survey data to all links.
OptimizationOptimization of traffic light cycles and phases at the intersections. Optimization of coordinated networks, calculation of the "green wave" parameters, including actuated and adaptive modes.
Analysis and GradingCalculation of 14 HCM-2010 approved efficiency indicators for each initial and proposed (optimized) timing plan (delays, stops, speeds, fuel consumption, operating costs).
Export of DataData export to MS Excel is provided for all intermediate steps of calculation, as well as for the final calculation results.
